Local traffic regulations
Preferential use of runways
1) In consideration of the regulations related to: Radial chart/Departure routes and anti-noise procedures, the use of runways will be decided by ATC according to the following wind elements:
- MAX 10 kt of stable wind and measured at the tail (regulation ENAC NR ENAC/UCEA/285/TRAF May 2002)
Nota
If the runway chosen by ATC is not believed to be suitable to the operations to be carried out, the pilots may request authorisation for the use of another runway; in this case the flight may be subject to delay
2) Due to maintenance activities on aeronautical ground lights, the runways will be closed every day, except for infrastructural, weather or safety reasons, at the following hours:
- RWY 35R/17L: from 01:00 to 02:00 (00:00-01:00)
- RWY 35L/17R: from 02:00 to 03:00 (01:00-02:00)
3) Due to periodical inspections, runways 35/17 are closed daily at the following hours:
- RWY 35R/17L: 05:15-05:30 (04:15-04:30), 1115-1130 (10:15- 10:30), 17:45-18:00 (16:45-17:00)
- RWY 35L/17R: 05:35-05:50 (04:35-04:50), 11:35-11:50 (10:35-10:50), 18:05-18:20 (17:05-17:20)
Slight changes in these hours may occur due to traffic conditions
4) For ground inspections of ILS equipment, the 35/17 runways are closed all day on Tuesdays except for possible limited manoeuvres or for weather or safety reasons at the following hours:
- RWY 35R/17L: from 22:00 to 23:00 (21:00-22:00)
- RWY 35L/17R: from 21:00 to 22:00 (20:00-21:00)
5) RWY 35L is the preferential runway for landing of flights with Code “F”
