SEA Milan Airports is an Official Supporter of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, strengthening the bond between the Milan airports and one of the most highly anticipated sporting events worldwide.

Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation and SEA Milan Airports, the operator of Milano Malpensa and Milano Linate airports, have signed a partnership agreement that formalizes the participation of Milan’s airports as Official Supporters of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. SEA Milan Airports’ extensive experience in managing airport services represents a valuable asset within the system of expertise supporting the organization of the Games.

The partnership signing comes three months before the start of the event and confirms the role of Milan’s airports as one of the key entry points into Italy for the approximately 2 million expected visitors. SEA Milan Airports will provide its infrastructure and expertise, ensuring excellent services dedicated to visitors, athletes, delegations, technicians, and media from around the world.

Milan Malpensa Airport will be one of the main gateways to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games: this hub alone is expected to welcome around 340,000 passengers during the 60 days leading up to, during, and following the major sporting event. In particular, in the week preceding the opening ceremony, over 15,500 stakeholders and more than 150,000 spectators are expected to arrive at Malpensa. During the event, the airport will handle up to 4,000 oversized bags, concentrated on peak days.

Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina 2026, stated: “We are pleased to welcome SEA Milan Airports among the Official Supporters of the Games. Lombardy’s airports are among the first points of contact with the atmosphere of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games. Their strategic position and ability to manage complex flows will be a fundamental contribution to the success of the event. The excellence of the services offered will make every arrival at Malpensa and Linate a special experience. It will be a unique event for everyone — athletes, visitors, and companies like SEA, key players in this extraordinary adventure.”

Being part of this project and supporting an event of historic importance for our country,” said Armando Brunini, CEO and General Manager of SEA, “means contributing to the success of an initiative that brings together sport, local communities, and the environment. This event further confirms the strategic role of our airports, accompanying Milan toward an international sporting occasion of extraordinary significance.”
