Milan, 18 June 2026 – SEA Milan Airports and Air China celebrated the launch of the new direct service between Milan Malpensa Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport, a new strategic route that strengthens connections between Italy and the People’s Republic of China, fostering economic, commercial, and tourism exchanges between the two countries. Malpensa is the first airport in Italy to offer a direct connection to this new state-of-the-art airport.
The new Air China service to Beijing Daxing complements the airline’s existing routes from Milan Malpensa, bringing the total number of Air China destinations served from the airport to four:
MXP – Beijing Capital
MXP – Chengdu
MXP – Shanghai
MXP – Beijing Daxing
Flights operate daily and are served by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The inaugural ceremony took place at Terminal 1 of Milan Malpensa Airport and was attended by Li Duo, General Manager of Air China; Cheng Xuan, President of CCCIT; and Zhang Chenggang, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Milan.
The launch of the Milan Malpensa–Beijing Daxing route represents a further step in strengthening relations between Italy and China, offering new opportunities for passenger traffic and supporting the development of economic, cultural, and commercial ties between the two markets.
Thanks to this new service, Air China further expands its presence in the Italian market, while Milan Malpensa reinforces its role as Northern Italy’s leading international gateway and a strategic hub for intercontinental connectivity.
