Milan Malpensa, Thursday, June 11, 2023 – “0” ZERO POINT – Intercontinental Sustainability & Upcycling Exhibition, the exhibition by Turkish artist Deniz Sağdıç, was inaugurated today in the presence of Armando Brunini, CEO and General Manager of SEA Milan Airports, Mehmet Özöktem, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Milan, and artist Deniz Sağdıç.
The exhibition presents a selection of works from the renowned READY-RE MADE series, an artistic project that translates the principles of sustainability, creative reuse, and the circular economy into visual language through the transformation of waste materials into artworks of strong aesthetic impact.
The international project “0” Zero Point was created with the aim of showcasing and promoting Türkiye’s commitment to sustainability and the “Zero Waste” strategy, through an exhibition journey that passes through selected airports across different continents.
The exhibition invites the public to reflect on their consumption habits, the value of resource reuse, and the importance of waste separation, proposing a positive and creative vision of sustainability. Through everyday objects originally destined to be discarded, Deniz Sağdıç creates portraits and compositions that transform waste into artistic material, demonstrating how every element can acquire a new life and meaning.
The concept of “Zero Point” symbolically represents the starting point of this transformation: a moment of awareness in which what is considered waste becomes opportunity, value, and beauty.
In this context, Malpensa confirms itself not only as an international gateway to the region, but also as a meeting place for cultures, innovation, and commitment toward a more sustainable future.
The arrival of the works at Milan Malpensa was made possible thanks to the support of Turkish Airlines, which coordinated the international transport of the artworks from Argentina, the previous stop of the exhibition tour, contributing to the realization of a project that ideally connects continents, cultures, and diverse sensibilities through the universal language of art.
With this initiative, SEA Milan Airports renews its commitment to promoting international cultural projects, offering passengers and visitors an artistic experience capable of stimulating reflection on the most urgent issues of our time.
The exhibition, which is free to visit, is located in the Rent-a-Car area on the Porta di Milano level and is accessible to both transit passengers and the general public.
